HOCKEY FANS ROCKING TO CROSBY STAALS & NASH AS TEAM CANADA RACES TO OLYMPIC GOLD

VANCOUVER, BC, February 24, 2010 –As Team Canada makes their way to the ice for the quarter final of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic tournament, a Vancouver songwriter is hoping to hear fans singing along to Canada’s latest rockin’ hockey anthem, "Crosby Staals & Nash." The new tune by Bryan O’Ryan, (written by Bryan Fogelman and produced by Ryan Worsley) is gathering huge fan support with radio airplay across the country. “Hockey is in our blood and Olympic hockey puts our national pride on the line,” says Fogelman. “That’s what Crosby, Staals & Nash is all about; celebrating our national game’s heroes – past and present – and building support for our boys.” With a chorus that boasts “with Crosby, Staals and Nash, the Great White North will sure kick ass,” the tune calls on Canadians to get behind Team Canada and make some noise.

The concept for the song was derived a year ago when Fogelman first thought of a witty and clever way to segue rock music with Canada’s men’s hockey team. Although Fogelman finished the song in November 2009, he decided to wait for Hockey Canada to announce the lineup for the men’s Olympic team in January 2010. Once it was confirmed that Sidney Crosby, Eric Staal and Rick Nash had made the team, Fogelman decided it was time to release the song. Now, with growing national radio support, it is clear that this song has a shot at the podium.

“I knew Canada would rock with this powerhouse on the ice!” says Fogelman. “Crosby, Staals & Nash reflects the young energy of some of Canada’s best hockey players. The song even sounds like Canada – some rock, some country and a lot of heart.”
